Christina Martin

Ms. Martin has 20 years of experience in capital markets, investment management, and strategic advisory.  She has covered North American, UK, and European markets.  Her responsibilities included raising billions of dollars in AUM, building OTC trading desks, managing teams, and trading hundreds of millions of dollars in fiat currency, currency derivatives, and equity derivatives.  

Currently, Martin leads Institutional Investor Strategy and related Operations at Ikigai Asset Management which invests solely in crypto assets and DLT (distributed ledger technology) opportunities.   Martin is an active member of ACG (Association for Corporate Growth) and now serves on the ACG Los Angeles Sponsorship Committee.   

Martin also serves as Director (Series 7 & 63) at Plutos Capital, a middle market investment bank. She was previously EVP of Odeon Capital, VP of STW Fixed Income Management ($12bn) and AVP of McCormack Advisors (stat arb hedge fund).  Prior to that, she was Associate of Structured Products at Charles Schwab and visiting Researcher at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors where she reported to the head of International Finance.

Martin has her BA in International Affairs from CU Boulder with the highest honors including Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Iota Rho, and Summa Cum Laude awarded for her Honor’s Thesis that was on International Currency Crises.  She received her MBA in Finance at UCLA Anderson where she studied abroad in Beijing.  Years later, Martin was honored to be the University of Colorado’s School of Economics Graduation Commencement Speaker.  Martin was also elected and served 3 years as Trustee to the University of Colorado Foundation and Endowment (>$1bn).  

Martin also earned her VFR Private Pilot License and completed coursework in Military Orienteering.  Additionally, from 2009 to 2013, Martin owned and operated a music business on tour with over 500 famous artists from Motley Crue to Neon Trees.  Putting her music relationships to good use, Martin personally made the wishes come true for several Make-A-Wish Foundation kids.  She served 3 years on the Board of Geena Davis’s Institute on Gender in Media and is currently on the Board of Community Leaders Vital Voices.  For her community leadership and philanthropy, Martin has received official recognition from many government officials.
